i ask because i am told he never recorded under the assumption that his craft would be taking if too many ppl heard it,from the one song i have heard taught to mississippi Fred mc dowell by payne on freds steakbone blues cd rerelease from the old 78′s titled “unknown blues” he was a master of the craft and it greatly saddens me that he is to never be heard from again ,does anyone have any info on this “unknown” blues musician?anything is greatly appriciated
